LegalSEC provides the legal community with programming and collaboration opportunities to continue to strengthen cyber-security awareness and action plans among the industry. The LegalSEC steering committee is staffed with member volunteers providing thought-leadership on how to provide our members strategies for raising security awareness, knowledge, and enhancing the legal community’s security posture. Additionally, a larger group of ILTA member volunteers help provide deliverables for our membership and community; this group is called the LegalSEC Council.
The LegalSec online blogs and egroup postings for knowledge sharing have been growing in volume and quality thanks to the contributions of all of you. This highly targeted, just in time form of knowledge sharing has been complemented by webinars in areas intended to meet the needs of those maturing their security programs (risk assessment, vendor security management, threat intelligence, etc.)
ILTA LegalSEC will continue to provide programming, collaboration opportunities and key partnerships in the areas above. Additionally, we'll continue to balance both mature and emerging components to meet the various needs of our membership.
Keep an eye on the LegalSEC Announcements page and learn more about the important accomplishments of the LegalSEC initiative.

LegalSEC Summit
Why should you attend the LegalSEC Summit?! It’s about sharpening the saw…. Sometimes you need to back away from your work to sharpen your skills. Where else can you have open discussions around law firm and law department security issues? You’ll connect with peers and participate in sessions from industry experts on threat intelligence, centralized log management, vulnerability scanning, data classification and insider threat programs, and you'll even have the opportunity to participate in a live tabletop incident response exercise. Break out of your comfort zone and attend sessions on interesting topics you might not have thought about before. You’ll hear from organizations sharing their solutions, so you can judge just how far along your environment is on the spectrum of cybersecurity.
